Prior to co-founding Sweetwood Capital and Sweetwood Ventures, Manuel served as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International in London in the FICC Department (Fixed Income, Commodity and Currency) from 2001 to 2009. During those years, FICC became the main contributor to Goldman Sachs’ revenue, representing at some point 40% of total revenue. Manuel managed a team advising European institutional and private clients on strategic investments in FICC products, including corporate bonds, high-yield bonds, interest-rate products, commodities and foreign-exchange.

Manuel graduated with a Master’s degree summa cum laude in Business Engineering from Solvay Business School at the University of Brussels, Belgium in 2001.
